KegSmart.com strives to be the best all-around online retailer of draft beer equipment and beer dispensers (kegerators). KegSmart LLC focuses solely on draft beer dispensing equipment and kegerators; because of our specific product line we are able to offer such low pricing. The question often arises as to which keg beer setup is better: draft beer dispensing systems or pump/picnic taps. In our opinion draft beer is the only way to go; the cold, clean, crisp taste of a beer poured from a draft system is unbeatable. Supporting our opinion, pump/picnic taps—which pour out a keg without using a CO2 system—have many disadvantages. For example, one of the main ways to spoil a keg is to oxygenate the beer with oxygen. Pumping in gases (including Oxygen) from the general outside environment allows for oxygenation. Pumping in Oxygen rapidly speeds up the rate at which the beer inside spoils.
